DELIGHTS AWAIT AT PLATE

Plate, the restaurant and terrace overlooking Bath Abbey, offers a sensory layer cake for the eyes.  The delightful introduction of dining domes and pavilions for family bubbles makes it possible eat out while staying safe and thoroughly enjoying the experience.

Keeping guests safe is of utmost importance to the hotel and restaurant who’ve adapted brilliantly despite the restrictions placed on the hospitality industry due to covid19.  The team at The Bird, Bath took no time making changes to the way they operate.  And that can be seen in the introduction of the dining domes and pavilions, complete with glowing fire pits, on the terrace of The Bird, Bath.

Decorated for the festive season and layered in winter warming textures and shimmery baubles the dining domes are stunning.  Enjoy a warm winter cocktail and take in the sights of the Abbey lit up at night.

PLATE RESTAURANT & BAR

Walking into the bar area we were wowed by the bauble explosion installation for the festive period.  Christmas festivities have been fully embraced.  Flamboyant, vibrant, colourful, explosion of colour, everything you want in a festive experience in the city.

Inside Plate, the restaurant and Bar are the most colourful fusion of modern design with textured installation.  Such as an upside down boat on the ciling with dried garlic, chilli and eucalyptus and an impressive live moss wall.

Rainbow colourways from the bar are anchored by orange and teal woodwork.  Overall effect is one of warm contemporary hospitality fused with Georgian panelling in the basement.  Leading straight out to the terrace, Plate is open for lunch, dinner, drinks and afternoon tea.  And during the festive period, mince pies and warming drinks.
